[Blink] no tray icon in Gnome

My GNOME 3 installation did not have a system tray.
I enabled GNOME extensions, and installed tray icons
(https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1503/tray-icons/). Blink (and
nextcloud) shows up in this extension for me.
