Because I am rather clueless and the following is incomprehensible to me :-( Thank You for your help and patience
sudo apt-get install blink
[sudo] password for user:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
blink : Depends: python-googleapi (>= 1.5.0) but 1.4.2-1ubuntu1.1 is to be installed
Depends: python-sipsimple (>= 3.5.0) but it is not going to be installed

Why you don't install it via official PPA?

I added to /etc/environment not sure if I did so correctly, but I have bigger issues, I can't launch in any way the program.
~/blink-qt/bin$ ./blink
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "./blink", line 62, in
from application import log
ImportError: No module named application
Thank You a lot

Sorry for late reply, Linux machine was unavailable.
I seem to have installed, I got the following message
Note that the directories
'/var/lib/flatpak/exports/share'
'/home/user/.local/share/flatpak/exports/share'
are not in the search path set by the XDG_DATA_DIRS environment variable, so
applications installed by Flatpak may not appear on your desktop until the
session is restarted.
But, not only I have no clue about how to set the environment variables, I have no clue where to find and execute.
Thank You a lot

You install it with "flatpak install com.icanblink.blink.flatpakref"
If you don't have flatpak you need to follow this guide first: https://flatpak.org/setup/Ubuntu/

What do I do with the file I downloaded from flathub?
Thank you

On linux if you are not using ubuntu there's a good change you can't install all dependencies.
But you can use flatpak from

I tried to reinstall it on Windows, and no joy. I suspect it is something really stupid, given that it does not check for updates (says no internet connection)
Thank You to both

Just use Linux. Windows 10 is disaster.

Hallo and thanks for the softphone,
I have had a non-gracious termination and since then I can not connect. Not only it does not register, it won't even check for updates. The firewall rules seem OK. I am at my wits' end, which admittedly is not very far. Windows 10 Blink 3.2.0 Thank you a lot
