[Blink] Blink audio preferences don't persist

I have blink pro on a MBP w/ OSX Lion.  I often plug into my cinema display and blink switches seems to switch to this audio device, which is fine.   The problem is when I unplug from the display blink often fails to switch back to the internal mic and speakers.  I do set the audio device to "system default" however that doesn't seem to help.  Any suggestions?
