[Blink] Blink hangs on Linux when accessing sound device

i tried the above, but there was no improvement.  i also tried with
pactl command that allows loading samples and then playing them.  audio
quality was bad also when playing the samples.  so i guess pulseaudio
simple does not work well on my laptop.
