[Blink] broken audio on debian squeeze

i installed blink on a debian squeeze laptop and when making a call (for
example to call or echo test), audio is very broken and not
understandable.  i have tried with both speex and pcma codecs with the
same result.  i have not modified default audio settings.  on the same
laptop, audio audio works fine when using twinkle.

any ideas what to do to fix this audio problem?
