Sorry Adrian, I guess I wasn't clear. The callers at the other end were complaining about the horrible sound quality. What I recorded and took a snippet of was the call itself. It wasn't until I changed to Google Voice that they said the quality had improved. Further, I also have this VOIP line set up with a router in addition to Blink. When using that with my wireless headsets, call quality is high, but I'm unable to record.
Hi Adrian,
Thanks for responding. It's been a little while, but I'll
try to find a recording as an example. Sound was very "electronic" as if
I was speaking through a processor. Also, I was almost totally
unintelligible at times, with dropouts. Instead of an uneducated
description, I'm attaching a snippet, titled "example.wav". Bear in
mind, this occurred on both high speed networks I use.

Lee

Hi Lee,

Call recording on its own cannot have an influence on the audio quality. Perhaps there is a completely different reason for what you experience. Bad audio quality is typically caused by be caused by packet loss. You can see for each audio call the round trip time, packet loss and jitter buffer in the Session Info panel.

Can you be more specific what do you mean by quality, and give an example for those figures or paste the content of the info panel when problem occurs?
