The keypad is a gateway to the past. All I dial these days are alphanumeric SIP URIs. When I try to use a SIP client which shows me a dialpad I always wonder how to dial 'saul at ag-projects.com'.

For example, my brokerage house (Fidelity) requires me to type in an alphanumeric password using the DTMF keypad.  The letters ABC map to 2, DEF to 3, etc..

That actually works :-) We map each letter to the corresponding DTMF.
