Does connecting to google contacts work for anyone?

After installing 0.4.0, my google contacts list was empty, so I
disabled/enabled google contacts and now, after clicking on
"Authorize" it's just sitting there with "Contacting Google server..."
(and has been for 5-10 minutes).
